The Department of Chemical & Process Engineering was inaugurated by gazette notification on 15th February 1972 as a Department of the Katubedda Campus of the University of Ceylon. So today our department is 36 years now. Many happy returns of the day CPE, the 36 birthday is very much important because we are soon to move new location with state of art research facilities.
